A group of Millington Central High School students sit in silence in front of a memorial erected for senior Jacob "Jake" C. Smith who died Monday morning from injuries received in a single car accident Sunday night. Smith's 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse ran off the road on Shelby Road near Epperson Mill Road in Millington crashing through a utility pole and fence before landing on it's roof. Smith is the second senior from the school to die in an auto accident in the past two and a half months.
