Bio
Mike Brown is currently a staff photographer at The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, TN.
He is a self-taught photographer that began his career working in account management within the advertising industry. After serving as a team leader for multiple Fortune 500 companies in the financial, industrial and hospitality industries he longed for a drastic change.
Brown required a profession that fulfilled him creatively, morally and spiritually so he shifted his focus to the camera and dove head first into the world of freelance photojournalism. Since then he has seen his work published on the front pages of the The Washington Post, USA Today, The Denver Post, The Memphis Commercial Appeal and inside a myriad of other daily papers throughout the US and Europe. He has also done contract work for Newsweek, Stern and Entrepreneur magazines.
